BRICOLAGE
Interior Design by Ryan Linkous

My name is Ryan, welcome! As a child I spent as much time with my Granny Faye and Gran Gayle as my parents would allow. Whether it be impromptu trips Florida, hours spent looking through fashion and interior design magazines in a cozy little corner of my hometown barnes and noble, out of state shopping excursions for a church dress, a day spent combing through over crowded antique store booths for treasure, or simply sitting around and enjoying each others company - I was almost always with one of them. Although their styles were quite different, they had one thing in common - impeccable taste. I know this section is supposed to be full of information about me, but I don’t know how I could accurately convey who I am in regards to being a designer without including them. Those experiences made me who I am. They’ve provided me with a unique perspective and a unmatched level of creativity. Growing up in this environment gave me an appreciation for and unique understanding of fashion, history, travel, art, design and the use of color. Being as though I have no formal design education or training, the world has been my classroom. Architectural Digest was my text book. My mother and my grandmothers living rooms were my practice exams. Almost a decade and a half of trial and error style learning experiences later, I’ve been blessed to refine this natural skill set which you’ll see throughout the site. I hope that my Bricolage of treasures brings you as much joy as it does me. Enjoy!
